Tractor Square Dancing

According to legend (and this article), tractor square dancing started in the 1950's as a one-time event in Nemaha, Iowa, and consisted of "old fashioned tractors going axle to axle in a chorus line, creating a slow and boring dance."

In fact...

The partners work together to coordinate their calls in unison. It's a true demonstration of teamwork.

They usually have a given name for their tractors and make up characters for the drivers.
